STUDIO ZABIN was named for interior designer Dorothy Muldoon’s grandmother, a woman with a discerning eye and a penchant for rearranging furniture.
After graduating from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, Dorothy began her career working for ASHE + LEANDRO. She then transitioned to a Senior Designer role at Lucy Harris Studio, where she honed her skills as a designer and project manager. In 2017, she opened her own practice.
Dorothy’s work is rooted in memory, narrative, and the unexpected. Her designs consider the character and integrity of each piece, resulting in spaces that are edited yet unfussy.
Past and current projects include homes in NYC and the Hamptons, as well as in Connecticut and Maine.
Studio Zabin offers a full range of design solutions, from overseeing minor refreshes to managing construction and designing turn-key homes.
